I have recently been to the Romance Writers of Australia conference held in Brisbane. It was a fantastic weekend filled with events and workshops. A high light every year is the Awards Dinner. Romance Authors are celebrated a this event for their achievement in the RWA Contests.

Congratulations to all the finalists and Winners. For the second year in a row I was sitting on a table with nominees. My goal is to be one of their number at the next conference.

I attended as many workshops as possible and learned a great deal. The support given to writers by the authors running the workshops is generous to say the least and also invaluable. It’s so much fun to come back to my study and go over my work looking to see where it can be improved given my new knowledge.

A big thanks to the organizers who worked tirelessly to make this years conference the brilliant success it was.
