Dora Braden Author romance writer
Bio

I live in a suburb of Melbourne, Australia with my husband and two grown up children.

My love of stories began early when I learned to read from fable picture books. There was always a character who had to struggle for a while in order to have everything come right in the end.

Growing up I seemed to have stories of my own making playing in my head. If life didn’t go as I wanted, I simply made up a happy ending for myself. A disadvantage at school as my teachers would often catch me lost in a story while gazing out the window. It was only in creative writing and art classes that I could truly express myself. Naturally this showed in my grades.

When my children were young I began to write romance stories. Three years ago, I  retired from a career in office administration. and fulfilled a life long dream of travelling overseas. I toured parts of England Scotland and Wales (including a visit to Jane Austen’s House in Chawton). Next I toured New Zealand’s South Island and marveled at their spectacular scenery. And most recently visited Thailand, the land of smiles. I have also fulfilled another life long dream which is to be able to write romance full time.
